From friends to foes – the fight for the IWAU Uprising Title just got personal.
General Manager Kevin Pipher was still absent this week, but acting as his Proxy, the Intimidator Josh Totten stepped in to fill in his managerial duties. Totten hit the ring first this evening to talk about the priorities he and Kevin had discussed in the aftermath of Friday’s Main Event show.
It wasn’t long before the Real Monster Jason Tiller hit the ring to call out the conspicuous absence of Kevin’s brother and disgraced former GM Kyle Pipher. Tiller said he’d done the IWAU Faithful a service by leaving Kyle Pipher injured following their triple threat match with Dexter Roswell last Friday and that his recent success has gone largely unnoticed. He demanded of Totten to be rewarded for his most recent efforts and to his delight, Totten said that he and Kevin had already chosen to afford him an opportunity at the IWAU Club Championship against Champion Shank Barzini and fellow challenger Cowboy Clayton Clark.
Tiller, satisfied with his title shot, left the ring without incident. As the Intimidator continued with his announcements, IWAU Uprising Champion Tanner Keeler came to the ring and provided the second interruption of the evening for Totten. Keeler, following his loss at Main Event to Joey O’Riley asked for the footage to be reviewed. Totten explained that after review, the referee had been struck in the course of the match and while Joey won, it was by DQ and the title didn’t change hands.
O’Riley came out and relinquished the title, but because he won the match he retained his number one contendership. In the fourth interruption of the evening, Johnny Echo made his way to the ring and began touting his accomplishments and accolades while making it known that while he respected Joey, he still felt that he deserved a title shot. O’Riley agreed to put his number one contendership on the line in the main event of the evening against Echo.
Meanwhile, Keeler began talking about the fact that he’d had a change of heart and that he wanted to see the company succeed. He offered his “talents” to the training class and said that he wanted to work with them and help make them better. While, not completely convinced, Totten agreed to allow Tanner some time during the evening with the trainees.
Here’s how the evening went:
- Keeler “taught” the training class this evening with Charlie Catt and DJ Chris. He “coached” them on different amateur wrestling techniques in two minute rounds. However his teaching and coaching mostly amounted to the same thing he’s been doing for the last few weeks and used the opportunity to beat up on the trainees. Catt showed promise as Keeler was unable to pin him in the two minutes allotted.
- Nikki Driftwood defeated Mara Qilin on a quick schoolboy roll-up and gaining leverage by holding Qilin’s tights.
- Bo Sawyer defeated Ezra Zealous in a one-fall match by pinning Zealous. Sawyer used the ropes and the referee’s inattention to his advantage and secured the leverage pin by putting his feet on the ropes.
- Shank Barzini retained the IWAU Club Championship against Jason Tiller and Cowboy Clayton Clark. Tiller looked to have won the match after hitting his finishing move, however Barzini stole the win after Tiller turned around into a blow from the champion using the title.
- Johnny Echo defeated Joey O’Riley via inside cradle to become the new number one contender for the IWAU Uprising Title. O’Riley his his signature 450 Splash but it appears he wasn’t able to get all of it as Echo was able to muster enough strength to roll him up following the rebound from the landing.

One thing is for certain after this week’s edition of IWAU Uprising: disgraced former General Manager Kyle Pipher has made enemies out of everyone in the IWAU Locker room.
His night began with a match up against IWAU’s resident politician, Dexter Roswell. After a short battle between the two, it wasn’t clear who the IWAU faithful hated more. Roswell seemed to be getting the better of Pipher, who struggled to maintain consistent offense. Just as Pipher began to pick up some momentum “The Real Monster” Jason Tiller emerged from the curtain.
Phipher immediately thought that Tiller was there to help him and started trying to direct his hired hand to attack Roswell. However, Tiller stated that Pipher owes him $10,000 for previous services instead turned his attention to the kilt-wearing former GM.
Roswell took advantage with a quick roll-up and stole the win. Tiller left Pipher looking up at the lights after the bell and collected a roll of bills from Roswell.
In other action this past Tuesday at IWA Unlimited:
- Mara Qilin def. Zoey to retain the IWAU Club Championship after a distraction from Shank Barzini
- Ezra Zealous Defeated Barzini via Disqualification
- Tiller defeated B-Rad
- IWAU Uprising Champion Tanner Keeler went to a time limit draw with Joey O’Riley.
